Dear Members and Friends of JASH,

Mahalo nui loa for all your support for our 2020 Annual Gala Reimagined and Online Silent Auction! It is thanks to our wonderful JASH community that we can navigate these challenging times and continue building bridges between Hawaii and Japan. If you missed the live broadcast of our Annual Gala Reimagined program, you can watch it on our JASH YouTube or catch the rebroadcast on Thursday, November 19, 8pm (HST) on your local K5 television station.

We also want to again congratulate all of our award winners from our 30th Annual Friendship Golf Classic and Golf Ball Drop! Click here to view the awards posting. Mahalo again to everyone for making our first in-person event since March a huge success!

Changing gears, in recent U.S.-Japan news, we are excited to share that our counterpart organization in Japan, the America-Japan Society, Inc., on November 10, 2020 announced that its Board of Directors appointed former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe as Honorary President. In the past, Mr. Abe’s grandfather, former Prime Minister Nobusuke Kishi, was the Society’s sixth president (1968-1984).
