JASH Weekly Update 6/17: Happy Father’s Day!

Dear Members and Friends of JASH,

On Sunday, June 20th, we take time to celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, husbands, uncles, and other role models who have supported and loved us throughout the years. Being a parent, mentor, and leader is never easy, and so we extend our warmest mahalo to those who have stuck with us through thick and thin. Happy Father’s Day!

To celebrate Dad, consider entering in our Golf Ball Drop Fundraiser for the chance to win him a vacation package for two to Las Vegas, courtesy of Pacific Honda. This year’s Golf Ball Drop is again made possible thanks to our friends at Mauna Loa Helicopters. All proceeds go directly back to JASH to help us continue our mission of building bridges between the U.S. and Japan through the unique perspective of Hawaii. Join in the fun today!

If that’s not Dad’s speed, we also recommend checking out the U.S. Postal Service’s new commemorative Go for Broke: Japanese America Soldiers of WWII stamp collection. Created in honor of the Nisei who served in the U.S. Army during World War II in collaboration with the Nikkei-founded Stamp Our Story campaign, the stamp was issued on June 3, 2021. To learn more about the stamp, visit Stamp Our Story. To purchase stamps and other items in the collection, visit the U.S. Postal Service.
