APCC BRIDGE Summer WEB Camp 2020
The Asian-Pacific Children’s Convention (APCC) is an annual homestay and summer camp held in Fukuoka that welcomes delegations of 11-year-old Junior Ambassadors (JAs) from regions throughout Asia and the Pacific. Although this year’s trip was cancelled due to the global outbreak of COVID-19, the APCC office organized BRIDGE Summer <WEB> Camp. BRIDGE Summer <WEB> Camp includes an online performance event, question exchange, a painting contest, etc. some of which our Hawaii JAs also participated in. It is open to public to view and will be a wonderful opportunity for all of us to meet kids from all over Asia and the Pacific, explore similarities and differences, and learn to understand/respect others. Please click HERE and look for Hawaii’s delegates!

The Politics of Abenomics “Abenomics” – the 10-year economic reform program launched by Prime Minister Shinzō Abe – is typically assessed in economic terms, from the efficacy of quantitative easing to structural reforms. But Abenomics is just as much about political and policy change, as it is bringing about new governance structures, a realignment of power relations within the government, and new policy orientation from security and secrecy to social policy. Join the experts and authors on these issues for a behind-the-scenes look at what Abenomics means for Japanese politics.
