JASH Weekly Update 7/30

Dear Members and Friends of JASH: Good news! In a press conference by Japan Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu, it was announced that Japan is starting to take measures to resume international travel. Japan will be utilizing a multiple phased approach towards the reintegration of international travel; the first two phases include Thailand, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand. The third phase includes Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Macao, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Republic of Korea (ROK), Singapore and Taiwan. The fourth phase includes countries in Europe and Hawaii separately from the continental United States. JASH is pleased to work alongside other community members from KizunAloha and Hawaii Tourism Japan in pursuit of the safe and responsible reopening of travel between Japan and Hawaii. We shall continue to relentlessly pursue this goal in furtherance of the Mission of the Japan America Society of Hawaii.
